The Atlantic Magazines Association’s first-ever professional development conference went without a hitch.
About one hundred people descended upon Dalhousie University on December 10th looking for tips on magazine design, marketing and sales and story pitches at this one-day conference.
The conference attracted industry professionals from Halifax and Moncton as well as students from NSCAD and Nova Scotia’s Community College.
“The conference was very successful,” says AMA co-chair Sheila Blair-Reid. “People were very pleased with the presentations and from the comment cards we received, they told us they learned a lot.”
The AMA is planning to hold another conference in late February or early March. It will be a two-day conference and will feature a trade show and keynote speakers.
